Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her roles in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! She was first known for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab and Tezaab, which she co-starred with an established actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she started learning dance from a very young age. At the age of 15 began acting, but was not successful as a lot of her films were flops. She finally found success, and went on to be one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film business. After her marriage, she took a hiatus in her professional career. The actress returned in later years. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was nominated fifteen times for Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of these. She was also honored with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. In addition, she is acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
